‘Man Namblast’ a double-faced teacher
It turns out that ‘Man Namblast’ and Mohd Hidayat are the same person who called Hindus ‘syaitan’.
PETALING JAYA: ‘Man Namblast’ and Mohd Hidayat, the two Facebook users who had insulted the Hindus as ‘syaitan’ (demons) during the recent Thaipusam festival are indeed the same person.
This was made public today when the police confirmed the identity of both as belonging to the same person.
Gombak district police chief Abdul Rahim Abdullah, in confirming to FMT today, said that Mohd Hidayat was using the pseudonym ‘Man Namblast’ when he posted the remarks on his Facebook wall.
“We are still investigating the matter but as for now we believe that he is using the name of Man Namblast,” he said.
Rahim added that they have also confiscated several items belonging to Mohd Hidayat, which will be handed over to the forensic’s department.

FB user ‘Man Namblast’ remanded for four days
Facebook user ‘Man Namblast’ who allegedly posted seditious remarks about Thaipusam in January was remanded for four days from yesterday.
Gombak police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said the 35-year-old teacher of a secondary school in Segambut was arrested at his house in Batu Caves at about 12.30pm yesterday.
He said following the arrest, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission seized a central processing unit and a modem from his house.

MIC Youth will set up a special task force to monitor the case involving Facebook users who had insulted Hindus.
KUALA LUMPUR: MIC Youth chief C Sivarraajh today pledged to set up a task force to monitor the police investigations against two Facebook users who had described the Hindus as ‘syaitan’ during the recent Thaipusam festival.
“Since the issue is of public interest, I asked the Youth wing deputy chief R Thinalan to lead the task force to monitor the case from time to time,” Sivarraajh told reporters at the MIC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
“First of all I would like to thank the police for arresting ‘Man Namblast’ and Mohd Hidayat for insulting the Hindus,” he added.
“The arrest of Man Namblast was confirmed by Inspector-General of Police(IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar through his twitter account on Monday,” he said.

“Mohd Hidayat, a teacher who defended Man Namblast’s posting, was also arrested in his school by Gombak district police,” Sivarraajh said.
“We are here on behalf of Malaysian Hindus requesting the police to take stern action against both of them,” he added.
“We also want the Education Ministry to conduct an investigation against Mohd Hidayat and terminate him if the latter is found guilty.

Mohd Hidayat is a teacher who defended Man Namblast’s posting.

Syaitan’ Man Namblast arrested
Man Namblast, the Facebook user who described Hindus as ‘syaitan’ was arrested by police yesterday.
PETALING JAYA: The Facebook user, Man Namblast, who had described the Hindus as ‘syaitan’ or demons during the recent Thaipusam festival was nabbed by police yesterday.
The arrest was confirmed by Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Khalid Abu Bakar through his twitter account yesterday at 6.50pm from Kuching, Sarawak.
Khalid’s tweet reads: “Akhirnya Man Namblast yg muat kata2 berunsur hasutan semasa upacara Thaipusam tempoh hari berjaya ditangkap tadi,” which translates into: “Finally, Man Namblast who made seditious remarks during the Thaipusam festival has been arrested”.
However no further details were revealed by Khalid on the arrest.

Though the Facebook account was deactivated, a screen shot of the posting had gone viral on the social media and it enraged the Hindus here.
Hundreds of police reports were made against Man Namblast and also against another Facebook user called Mohd Hidayat, who defended Man Namblast’s posting.
