Ginger cat Oyen has been officially recognised as a member of the capybara exhibit at Zoo Negara.

This comes after a signboard was recently put up to announce that the cat has joined the capybara enclosure.

“When we first discovered him, we saw he was very friendly with the capybaras. He would eat with them,” senior zookeeper Mohd Taufik says.

3. Zoo Negara vice president Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana told Bernama, until now, both Oyen and the capybaras have not shown any distress.

He says the animals are monitored at all times to ensure they are healthy.
