Apr 13, 2023 #ABCNews#ABCNewsAustralia Tensions have broken out between China and Fiji – after the prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka delayed a meeting with a top Chinese diplomat to mourn the death of a family member. Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu was due to meet Mr. Rabuka in the capital Suva on Thursday, after holding talks with DFAT secretary Jan Adams in Canberra on Wednesday. Foreign affairs reporter Stephen Dziedzic says it’s now not clear if or when the meeting will go ahead.
