Judge Rohani Ismail then told Lau that the trial had not started. She said the relevant documents had only been submitted to the court, and the accused would testify at a later date.

Lau faces a charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.

She was previously ordered by the Magistrate’s Court to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at Hospital Permai, JB.
