DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng has responded to speculation that he may not be appointed a cabinet position in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s government.
The former finance minister stressed that the question of giving him a cabinet post is secondary to ensuring that the country’s future is not “stolen”.
Lim, who served in the previous Harapan cabinet, is facing ongoing court trials.
In recent days, the Bagan MP has faced questions on whether he, along with others such as Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, should be given positions in the cabinet despite their ongoing trials.
