Malaysia records 83.3% increase in cases from education sector

MALAYSIA records 83.3% increase of Covid-19 cases in the education sector in Week 16 from April 18, until April 24 compared to the previous week.

There is also a 200% rise of cases from religious activities in the past seven days.

Other clusters which recorded an increase in positive cases include community (11.1%) and detention centres (66.7%).

Only work place cluster reported a 26.7% decline in positive cases.

The Malaysian Reserve reported earlier today that 79 schools in Selangor were ordered to close until tomorrow on rising infections in the state.
