30 hold rally outside High Court, want Guan Eng to resign

A group of 30 held a peaceful rally outside the High Court in Penang today to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for the two corruption charges against him.
Calling themselves Persatuan Penyokong Mamu Parpu, the group led by Muhsin Latheef said they preferred state executive councillor and Penang DAP chief Chow Kon Yeow to take over from Lim.
“We want to know what the Penang government is doing about the floods.
“State government leaders only quote figures, but we do not know what exactly is being spent and where the locations for flood mitigations works are going to be carried out,” Muhsin said.
The group is not satisfied with the state’s handling of the recent massive flash floods in Penang due to heavy downpours.
The group is expecting Lim to be present at the High Court for the second mention of his corruption case.

Protesters gather outside Penang High Court, call for Guan Eng to return to Malacca http://dlvr.it/Mq1qWD
.
GEORGE TOWN: A group of people gathered in front of the Penang High Court building Tuesday morning urging Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to go back to Malacca.
The group, members of Facebook page “Dimana Ada Parpu Di situ Ada Mamu”, gathered in front of the High Court building as early as 8am to show their “support” for Lim to him to “return to Malacca”.
Lim was Kota Melaka MP from 1986 to 1998.
Page administrator and spokesman Muhsin Latheef said the group wanted to show their “support” for Lim as he has not been able to solve flood and housing issues in the state since becoming Chief Minister.
Placards bearing the words “Guan Eng undur, YB Chow bantu kami” (Guan Eng step down, YB Chow help us) and “Tanah bukit punca banjir” (Hill land the cause of floods) were seen at the scene.
