JERTIH: A motorcyclist was killed after the high-powered Ducati Multistrada that he was riding collided with a car near Jertih on Friday.

District police chief Superintendent Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said the 29-year-old victim, Nik Mohd Faris Nik Mahmud from Pasir Mas, Kelantan, suffered serious head and bodily injuries from the crash.

Zamri said the victim was heading towards Jertih from Kota Baru, prior to the collision with a Proton Persona which was apparently making a right turn.

The 43-year-old female driver from Seberang Jertih, however escaped unhurt.
