COULD SHE HAVE BEEN MISTAKEN FOR SOME OTHER PERSON?
Star
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Junaidi Bujang said the police are investigating whether the church administrative officer who was shot in Sierramas here could also have been a victim of mistaken identity.
The 51-year-old mother of two was at the junction leading to the Sungai Buloh toll plaza when a man on a motorcycle opened fire at her at about 8.30am on Wednesday.
Against all odds, however, the woman survived the ride-by shooting and is currently being treated at Hospital Sungai Buloh. She was injured on her face and left arm.
Supt Junaidi said the police are investigating the case from all angles.
“We are still trying to establish if she was a victim of mistaken identity,” he said.
Supt Junaidi also dismissed religion as a factor behind the shooting.
“There is no indication that the shooting was religiously motivated, as she was only an administrative staff.
“Her husband owns a brick factory. Neither the victim nor her family had enemies.”
The couple declined to speak to reporters when met at the hospital yesterday.
