KUALA LUMPUR: A website advertising goods and services has been found to be offering sexual services as well.
The website, based in the United States complete with telephone numbers and email address, contains thousands of pornographic material, readily accessed by locals.
It is believed the website has been operating for about 20 years and has more than 200,000 community members worldwide.
“I clicked open the website for the first time and was shocked to see a space offering sexual services, including same-sex. The demand from members was also overwhelming compared to the other services,” said a netizen.
Preferring to be identified only as Fariz, he said he had never come across any goods and services website that offered sex services.
“What was even more shocking was that some of the members openly advertised by uploading naked photos of themselves. This is rare in any such website in the Internet,” he told Bernama.
Fariz said sex workers left their telephone numbers and particulars for members to contact them.

DETROIT — A distracted pantless driver crashed and rolled his vehicle because he was preoccupied with a pornographic movie on his phone, CBS Detroit reported.
The incident occurred Jan. 26 on the highway, Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw told the news site. He said it was one of the strangest things he’s ever seen.
“We see people putting on makeup, we see people doing different things as far as hygiene and it’s almost to the fact there’s so much technology out there a lot of people are more paying attention to what they’re doing other than driving their cars,” Shaw told CBS.
The driver, 58-year-old Clifford Ray Jones, was thrown from his 1996 Toyota after it rolled off the roadway. He was not wearing pants and police found evidence of masturbation.
No other drivers were hurt in the collision.

PETALING JAYA: A 13-year old boy was held by police for allegedly threatening to circulate a photo and video of a naked girl masturbating.
The suspect, a student in Sepang, became online friends with the girl through messaging application WeChat in March.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Azmi Abu Kassim said in the period being friends for about two months, the suspect asked for photos and videos from the victim.
“She sent revealing pictures of herself performing lewd acts,” Azmi said.
“They would often contact each other via the application. But the girl became worried when the boy demanded more explicit photos and videos and decided to stop communicating with the suspect,” he added.
According to Azmi, the suspect then threatened to circulate the photo and video of her.

Parents urged to safeguard children against paedophiles on social media
PETALING JAYA: With paedophiles widely reported to be using the Internet, women groups are asking parents to monitor their children’s social media interaction regularly to ensure that they are safe from predators. Voice of Children president Sharmila Sekaran said parents should ensure they were up to speed with the technology so they could spot potential dangers. “You may think that a paedophile looks suspicious, but the fact is that most paedophiles have an outward appearance resembling a friendly neighbour. “Also, if your child is giving personal information to an online person unknown to you, make sure to look into it,” she said. Sharmila said parents should be alert when there is little information about their children’s “online friends”, as paedophiles do not reveal their true nature on social media. Paedophiles also tend to use acronyms to communicate inappropriate requests so that most adults will not be able to spot these when going through the messages. CNN had published a list of such acronyms for parents to look out for, which includes terms like GNOC (get naked on camera) and CU46 (see you for sex).

Internet providers need time to block porn site RedTube, says MCMC
The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission has accepted the explanation from some ISPs at to the delay in blocking porn website, RedTube, from being accessed within Malaysia. – Reuters file pic, December 22, 2014.Though porn website RedTube has been blocked by regulator Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), some users may still be able to access it as Internet service providers (ISP) need time to reconfigure their networks. The commission monitoring and enforcement division senior director Zulkarnain Mohd Yasin said ISPs were issued a directive to block the website last week. “It is not that they are not complying, but they have to configure their network to block it and for some providers, this takes time because of technical issues. “Some providers also have different technical capabilities and this also takes time,” he told The Malaysian Insider today. … It was reported last week that statistics by online adult video company Pornhub revealed that Internet users in Kuala Terengganu spent an average of 12 minutes and 58 seconds looking at or searching for visual pornography.
