Female doctor among 22 Malaysians with IS in Syria, say cops
KUALA LUMPUR: The police have confirmed Saturday that a 26-year-old female doctor is among 22 Malaysians in Syria reportedly involved with the Islamic State (IS) militant group in Syria.
SAC Datuk Ayub Khan Mydin Pitchay, Bukit Aman Special Branch Counter Terrorism Division principal assistant director, said the doctor was married to a Malaysian who was an IS member.
…
Ayub Khan said the doctor was attempting to influence Malaysian women through a Facebook account and added that this was worrying.
“We are trying to establish the identity, background of the woman and obtain more information about the her family. We are investigating how she could have been influenced to go to Syria.
“Of course, she can use Facebook to draw women and girls easily. She can share photographs to show that accommodation and food are provided and they would only be involved in fighting alongside the extremists,” he said.
However, he said, they would not be aware that there was exploitation of women and girls who have been forced to be sex slaves to militants, although it might not have involved Malaysians so far.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 ― The story of an alleged Malaysian doctor who migrated to Syria to seek martyrdom has prompted the local medical fraternity to remind their colleague of the oath she had taken as a professional healer.
The “Hippocratic Oath”, according to local doctors, is a moral code of conduct that medical professionals take to pledge their dedication to the practice of saving all lives, regardless their race, religion or beliefs.
The doctors expressed shock that the 26-year-old woman, who claims to be Malaysian, had left her home country for the purpose of helping the Islamic State (IS) militant movement’s cause with her medical expertise.
“Aid should be given to not one particular group, but to all those who are victims, regardless of their religion nor political leaning,” Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) president Dr H. Krishna Kumar told the Malay Mail Online when contacted last week.
“There are many conflicts all over the world, and Syria is just one of it.
…
Sharing Dr Krishna Kumar’s sentiment, Dr Rashidah Zalani said that if helping people using her medical expertise is what the woman had intended, she should have volunteered to serve in war-torn countries, instead of becoming a militant herself.
…
“Resorting to militancy despite being a medical professional is not the way,” Dr Rashidah added.

Hubby : Ahhh my wife! I’m taking you out for dinner today.

Hubby : Ma sha Allāh you look so beautiful today!
Wifey : Does that mean I look ugly everyday? *annoyed*
Hubby : No no habibty. You see, even the moon would be so jealous of your beauty today..
