300 paintball ‘warriors’ fight it out at the Esplanade
GEORGE TOWN: IT was a hive of activity at the Esplanade as more than 300 participants battled it out in the recent Paintball Championship President Cup 2014.
The event was organised by Penang Island Municipal Council.
The participants turned the Esplanade into a “battlefield” as they fired and dodged “bullets”.
Military skills such as stealth and stalking were on full display as the competition intensified.
Camouflaged “fighters” communicated by flashing tactical sign language to one another.
The contestants moved swiftly as they tried to outwit their opponents.
Hundreds of people thronged Padang Kota Lama to watch the event.
