[Be Careful] – Scammer Cheats Woman in Currency ExchangeOn hindsight, the victim realizes that she made a huge mistake in putting her trust too easily, especially on the stranger she met online. What we hope with this post, is that people out there will learn to be more aware of such incidents and to be careful not to fall prey to scams such as this.

My friend was cheated of her money recently. She had made an appointment with a currency dealer which she corresponded online through the JBTalks Forum site. She had wanted to exchange RM 7,500 for KRW 250,000.

The exchange was done in the Bukit Bintang area. The man passed me the money and then he left hurriedly. Suspicious, my friend then went to to check on the notes with a money lender. Apparently, the conman had given her North Korean Won instead!

A police report has been made.

The photographs are the pictures of the conman. According to the person who shared with us on this case, the conman has also tricked other people of their money. The above is just one of several other cases.

The conmen who sells currency online has been identified.Benjamin Wong Shi Yeow 016-7410554.The conmen use this acct to con victims.
