‘Hundreds’ of fish found dead in Marina South canal, some say it’s normal

Plausible reason(s): Sudden drop in oxygen level in the water due to higher salinity as fish were swept into the sea by rapid release of freshwater from Marina Barrage and high temperature. The higher salinity and high temperature reduced the oxygen capacity in the water which caused suffocation and death of the fish. As the tide rose dead fishes were swept back into the canal. My 2 cents worth.
