Grateful to Mr Lee for making the time for his former PPSs and some staff to celebrate his 91st birthday with him tonight. Not many people see this side of Mr Lee, but I have always found him to be caring to his staff. We are very happy to see him so well, and happy to relive memories and share each of our learning journeys with him. I learnt a lot from Mr Lee, and am always reminded when I see him to do my part to make life better for all Singaporeans. #HappyBirthdayLKY

The photo which has been circulating online from Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s supposed 91st birthday has raised some concerns after netizens pointed out that it looked photoshopped.
The photo was first shared by Mr Heng Swee Keat on his facebook page and also used by Straits Times on their article about Mr Lee’s birthday.
Netizens had pointed out that the positions of the people in the photo looked unnatural and it was strange that the background was pitch black.
It was also pointed out that the three men in the photo seem to have a different colour background ‘halo’ around their heads.

Other netizens thought that the photo was simply posed neatly at Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s residence or perhaps even a hospital room so that’s why the backdrop was black as it was set up to cover whatever the actual background was.
