Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo | The Dubai Mall
The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo with the 10-million litre tank, located on the … of The Dubai Mall, is one of the largest suspended aquarium in the world.
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
Lonely Planet review
Dubai Mall’s most mesmerising sight is this gargantuan aquarium where 33,000 beasties flit and dart amid artificial coral and behind the ‘world’s largest acrylic viewing panel’ (as recorded in the Guinness World Records ).
…
Upstairs, the very worthwhile Underwater Zoo journeys through three eco-zones: rainforest, rocky shore and living ocean, and a total of 38 aquatic displays. There are lots of rare and interesting denizens here, including air-breathing African lungfish, cheeky archerfish that catch insects by shooting water, spooky giant spider crabs and otherworldly sea dragons.
Budget at least 30 minutes each for the tunnel and the zoo.

People travel on a boat in an artificial lake at the Dubai Mall in Dubai on March 15, 2014. Emmar Properties, which operates the mall, plans to list at least 15% of the business in an initial public offering next month. Reuters
DUBAI—Five years after Dubai teetered on the brink of financial disaster, signs are emerging that the market for initial public offerings in the emirate is coming back to life, as the owner of the world’s largest shopping mall prepares to sell shares to the public.
Emaar Properties, Dubai’s highest-profile real estate group, said Sunday it plans to list at least 15% of its profitable and fast-growing malls business, a unit that real-estate-services firm JLL values at about $10.6 billion.
This would be the biggest share sale since 2007.
