Ditch Facebook – there’s Ummaland now
A fairly new religious social networking site called Ummaland allows Muslims to discover, connect as well as learn, inspire and share as one united ummah.
Following recent fears that Facebook could face a possible ban in Malaysia, Ummaland, an exclusive Muslim site, is gaining popularity.
The brainchild of Maruf Yusupov, Jamolidding Daliyev and Mahmudjan Memethaji, Ummaland was launched early last year as a purely Islamic social networking site.
Ummaland allows Muslims from all over the globe to “discover”, “connect” as well as “learn, inspire and share as one united ummah” with other Muslims.
According to two of the three co-founders on Twocircles.net, Ummaland has at least 1,000 new members every day and is growing rapidly.
