An Australian and his wife say they were viciously attacked after a fender-bender near a toll plaza three months ago.
.
.
PETALING JAYA: An Australian national has complained that the police have yet to take action against a man who severely attacked him and his Malaysian-born wife, even though more than three months have passed since the assault.
Speaking to FMT, he said he was “bitterly disappointed” that he had not received any justice after an attack that he described as “brutal” and that had traumatised him and his wife. He asked to be identified only as Scott.
.
The day after the attack, he and Sandra were called in by an investigating officer (IO) for an identification parade at the Sea Park police station.
“Both me and wife positively identified our attacker. Since then, I have been asking the IO for an update every few days.”
He said police subsequently informed him that the suspect would like to settle the issue by offering to pay for his medical expenses, but he rejected this.
“I don’t want money,” he told FMT. “I want justice. My wife and I have not only suffered injuries but have been traumatised by this brutal attack. It’s been three months and no action has been taken against him.”
FMT has contacted Petaling Jaya police and is waiting for a response.

Video of old man being hit on the head with plank draws netizens’ fury (video)
By:
NAWAR FIRDAWS
KUALA LUMPUR, April 17, 2015:
A video depicting two men in a violent fight over what was said to be a minor road accident has surfaced on the net, drawing criticisms by viewers who were taken aback that members of the public chose to capture the moment instead of intervening.
The two-minute video was uploaded to Facebook page “Siakap Keli” on April 14 and had garnered more than 284,000 views as of publication of this report.
It started off with one man, appearing older than the other, apologising to the younger one for presumably hitting his car.
The older man’s apology was ignored and as he continued talking, he was kicked just slightly below his stomach.
He then ran off to a nearby roadwork site, picked up a wooden plank and started chasing the younger man, who was then also armed with a plank, around a car before hitting him.
The younger man, dressed in a white T-shirt, retaliated and hit the older one on the head, causing the latter to fall forward and hit his head again, this time on the boot of a parked car before falling to the ground.
He then got up, blood streaming down one side of his face, and staggered to his car, struggling to start the engine and put on his seat belt.
Video of fracas between taxi driver and group of young women goes viral http://bit.ly/19weTCU
…
PETALING JAYA: Video footage of a fracas between a taxi driver and a group of young women has gone viral on social media.
The video showed a group of young women arguing with a taxi driver over what seemed to be a minor accident between their respective cars.
Screams of “stupid” and swear words can be heard in the video.
One of the women was seen approaching the person holding the camera screaming, “Why are you taking a photo of me? What is wrong with you?”
This was followed by a sound, apparently of someone being hit, and a shout of “You hit me!” heard in the shaky video footage.
…
The video footage later showed stills of bruises on a woman’s face and ears, but did not specify how the injuries were incurred.
A Facebook post by Syed Faried Hassan, who said that he was the uncle of two of the young women involved in the fracas, alleged that the taxi driver physically injured the women.
“This taxi driver hit my nieces after their cars had an accident. Now he is at the police station and my brother is pressing for him to be remanded.
“Whoever is in the wrong, he has no right to be a road bully,” said Syed in his post.
The post included photos of the bruising on his nieces’ faces, the taxi and its number plate.

A 38-year-old taxi driver in Malaysia allegedly assaulted an auxiliary policeman at the main entrance of the Sultan Iskandar Building in Johor Baru.
His actions were captured in a video clip that has gone viral on social media site Facebook.
The taxi driver was released on police bail last week.
The incident began when the policeman noticed the suspect driving his taxi in a dangerous manner at the building’s main entrance last Tuesday.
He and his colleague then advised the suspect to move his taxi away after he had parked in a non-designated zone. A scuffle soon broke out.
The policeman, 24, fought back in self-defence after the collar of his uniform was reportedly yanked by the suspect, reported New Straits Times.
Investigations also revealed that the suspect allegedly kicked the policeman during the confrontation, said Johor Baru (South) police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh.
The suspect was later arrested by a traffic policeman and taken to the nearby Johor Baru (South) police headquarters.
The police are looking for 4 men in a Toyota Altis, who assaulted a businessman.Their car was blocking the way and when he asked them to move their car, they came out and assaulted him.
KUALA LUMPUR: A man claimed that he was beaten unconscious by four men at a parking lot in Laman Rimbunan, Kepong, when he asked them to move their car that was blocking his.
However, Sentul police are sceptical of the man’s story. They are appealing to the four men or witnesses to come forward and help with the investigation.
The 43-year-old “victim” lodged a report, claiming that at about 2am on Nov 5, he was about to leave for home after attending a friend’s birthday party when he saw a white Corolla Altis near his car.
“He said he was unable to reverse his car, so he told the men inside the Altis to move,” said Sentul OCPD ACP R. Munusamy. “He alleged that the four men then came out of the car and walked towards his vehicle.
“He could not recognise any of them,” said ACP Munusamy.
PETALING JAYA: Alleged road bully Khoo Kok Ann (pic) has been unjustifiably persecuted by netizens, said former Malaysian Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights intern Mary O’Donovan.
In a Facebook interview with The Star Online on Friday, O’Donovan, who has written articles speaking up against domestic violence, repeated that while she did not condone Khoo’s alleged reactions, “without the full facts, I felt that he was unjustifiably persecuted.”
…
O’Donovan added that while she did not condone Khoo’s actions, she acknowledged a possible momentary lapse of judgment on his part, condemning his persecution on social media.
“What I don’t understand is how it is deemed acceptable for people on social media to persecute this man without knowing the full facts. I’ve seen this man called a wife beater, I’ve heard that his phone numbers, family photos and even his address have been posted online and all this is deemed as acceptable,” said O’Donovan.
The 50-year old Australian described the actions of netizens as being like that of a lynch mob.
“The lynch mob may not have a noose, but their actions are just as damaging to the person than a rope tied around their neck. We find it acceptable to hate another with a vengeance. We find it acceptable to take the law in our own hands and find a person guilty and even worse, we find it acceptable to attempt to destroy a man’s life,” she added.
Alleged ‘road bully’ is a philanthropist, friends say
Friends of Khoo Kok Ann, who was charged for criminal intimidation in a case of road rage on Tuesday, insist that he has a friendlier side.
Referring to him as ‘Hurricanemax Joko’ in Facebook posts, his friends instead urged detractors to ask what sparked his outrage.
They also listed out his good deeds, describing him as a philanthropist.
“(He is) a good man who lost his cool in the moment of stupidity,” a friend, who goes by the name Cops Subang Jaya on Facebook, said.
“Find out what made him do this…Let’s look at the big picture of the person concerned (instead),” he said.
Others said that he is a philanthropist who has helped rehabilitate elephants and raised funds for a mosque, and does not deserve the social media frenzy.
…
Meanwhile, Razin Ong, a fellow superbiker who claimed he has known Khoo for two decades, said Khoo “never loses his cool whenever he rides”.
He added that Khoo was also known in the biker circles for helping to retrieve the body of a fellow biker in Thailand.
“He is the ‘coolest’ biker, who never rages whenever we rode together.
“His anger is his mistake. However, he is no road bully. He is a good man, and we know this,” Ong added.

Chong was charged with causing hurt to Tan by hitting her using his hand at Jalan Angkosa off Jalan Nagasari here at about 7.40am on Nov 17.

I asked him loudly why did he touched my car and he asked me rudely if I want to remove my car. Then he slapped me on my left face. I slapped him back and then he slapped and grabbed my face on the right. To defend myself i could only pinched his chest. Then he let go. The slap caused a cut on my lips and bleed.

Two patrol officers arrived shortly after to check on the incident, and were met by the incoherent woman who was unable to properly answer their queries.
When the ambulance reached the scene, she first refused to enter the vehicle as she claimed to be uninjured, before bizarrely kicking the two policemen and behaving aggressively towards medical personnel.
This forced the police to slap a pair on handcuffs on her before hauling her to the nearby Central Police Station to undergo a urine test to determine if she was under the influence of illegal substances.

BULLIED BY DRIVER OF PERODUA ALZA WYE 4721!
Watch out for him, ladies, in case it also happens to you!
I was threatened, assaulted and my car was damaged.
A Malay man and his wife with two small kids came out from this Alza. I was parked beside this car. The Man swing open his car door and hit my car very hard. The impact made my car shake. I lightly honked the guy to make him aware of my presence.
The wife saw what happened and said “Bang, pintu. ” He then closed the door and swing it open a second time and hit my car harder this time and said “OOOPS! ” sarcastically.
He then came to my window and shouted sarcastically, ” SORRY AH!! SORRY AH!!” He then walked away and stared back at me and said ” kurang ajar.”
His wife just stood there and laughed. I was so angered, i stayed in the car to get a hold of my emotions.
After two minutes, he came out of A&W and went back to his car. He again, Swing open his car door and hit my car very hard! For the THIRD TIME!!! Every ounce of me wanted to swing my door open really hard and dent the crap out of his car.
But I controlled myself and got out of my car, took this picture and checked my car for damages.
He then wind down his window and said ” oh, calar ya? Kereta you Sudah buruk lah! Kalau kereta I langgar kereta you, bumper you pun jatuh! So tak payah la nak buat hal besar sangat.”
In anger, I replied ” Sudah calar you nak bayar ke?!”
He then wind up his window, knowing I was standing in front of his wing mirror, he still reversed, and his wing mirror hit my right arm, throwing me to the left, hitting my own car.
He then showed me the thumbs up sign as if saying “Good for you!” His wife, yet again, sitting in the back seat, laughed as the encouraging his acts. I was so angered!
I felt bullied, discriminated, weak, and helpless. Just because I am a lady, and I am petite, doesn’t give anyone at all the right to treat me this way! I believe no human deserves to be treated as such, despite of your status, color, or gender.
Many Malaysians would let this pass. “Aiyah! Small matter only!” But it isn’t to me! U would not understand the emotions that I had to go through until you experience it yourself.
I will see this through and make sure I get the justice that I deserve.
WATCH OUT FOR THIS CAR! It could also happen to you especially if you are a woman.

Pandamaran assemblyperson Eric Tan has demanded that the Selangor police explain why it had failed to act in two separate cases where car accident victims had been attacked by mobs.
In one case, there were three police officers stationed at a Ramadan market near the scene of the accident.
KAJANG: A 35-year-old woman suffered injuries to her face after a motorcyclist struck her with a helmet when he thought she had honked at him.
District OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said the road rage incident happened at about 10.30am on Tuesday while the woman was in Sungai Jelok to have her breakfast.
“She was driving in her Proton Iswara when she spotted someone resembling her uncle across the road. She honked her car to alert him.
“However, a 54-year-old motorcyclist who was at that time near her vehicle thought she was honking at him,” he said Wednesday.
ACP Ab Rashid said the man scolded the female driver and started hitting her car with his helmet.
“The woman alighted from the vehicle to clarify the situation but the motorcyclist struck her face with the helmet, causing injuries to her left chin,” he explained.
Police identified the culprit following a report lodged by the woman and arrested him at a house in Sungai Jelok the same night.
ACP Ab Rashid said the man, who has one previous criminal record, would be in police custody for three days.
While a viral video of a woman attacking an elderly man in Kuantan received condemnation nationwide, some feel the conviction of Siti Fairrah Ashyikin Kamaruddin yesterday for criminal intimidation is unfair.
Looking at it through racial lenses, some quarters have taken to digging up other videos uploaded on social media where the attacker is of Chinese ethnicity and the person on the receiving end is Malay.
One message circulating on social media features a “collection” of six videos, mostly of Chinese men ragging on traffic police officers to get out of a traffic fine.
The “collection” also includes filmmaker Namawee ranting about how his ethnicity led to restrictions on his film Nasi Lemak 2.0, and of a man yelling “I am rakyat!” and “BN will lose” while resisting police in an operation at a pub in Damansara Utama.
…
“Why are videos of the Chinese verbally abusing Malay police officers not viral or trending (on social media)?
“We make noise after watching a video of a woman in Pahang verbally abusing an old man who rear-ended her car, but when police officers are abused and provoked, no one defends them,” the message reads.
Urging WhatsApp users to pass on the message, it added that if the videos are trending, then news outlets, including Malaysiakini, would not be able to ignore it.
…
Another video dug up was one uploaded in 2013 and features a Malay youth kicked repeatedly in the face by a Chinese man for allegedly attempting to rob a woman.
The youth is on the ground and is surrounded by people who appear to be guarding him to ensure he does not escape.
…
The video is also featured in blogs promoted by Umno Youth’s Unit Media Baru Twitter account.
“This Chinese uncle is a bastard! Even if that kid is guilty, what right does he have to kick the Malay boy’s face?
“I want to see how police handle this case. They were quick to act on Kiki, a Malay woman who hit the Chinese uncle’s car, even though it was he who rear-ended her car.
“Will the police let this bastard uncle go? Don’t start a racial fire, we don’t want another May 13 (racial riot). The police should investigate fairly!” one Unit Media Baru blog reads.
…
Persatuan Veteran Tentera Melayu is expected to lodge a police report over the video featuring the Malay youth getting kicked today.
Police on July 21 said they are investigating the matter and urged anyone who knows about the incident to come forward.
jom analisis apa yg Team Media Baru UMNO dan BN buat utk counter isu Kiki Stering Lock oleh RBA utk tunjuk yg dorg msh ada telur..
1. korek balik video2 lama yg sblm ni dorg xamik port pun.
Kiki Peugeot tu smp msk Radio ERA, Pemuda UMNO buat press statement dan polis tetiba amik port plak psl video yg diviralkan..
KESIMPULAN SETAKAT NI: Team Media Baru UMNO dan BN tak mampu nk lawan RBA. Better terus jadi alat menaik dan menjatuhkan Individu dlm BN je, at least masyuukkkk!!!
