An article circulating online about three girls who were allegedly abducted by a serial kidnapper in Toa Payoh is untrue, said police.

The article, which was posted on a Facebook page on Friday and later made its rounds online, claimed that two of the girls – both 16 years old – went missing last year, while the other girl – a 15-year-old – has been missing since 2011.

Responding to the article, the police said in a Facebook post on Saturday: “Police would like to clarify that the rumour is untrue. The three girls have been found and returned safely to their families.

“The circumstances of their disappearance were not related and records revealed that the three girls had left home on their own accord.”

SINGAPOREAN APPEALS TO THE POLICE TO SOLVE CASES OF MISSING CHILDREN IN THE SAME AREA
Shocking discovery: 3 missing underage girls from Toa Payoh Since 2011, 2013
How is this NOT publicized on the local news media?
What if one of the girls missing is the daughter of a prominent business man or Government minister? How long to you think it will take for SPF to crack the case?
This is something extremely disturbing and shocking (in my own opinion), of how the string of cases of at least 3 missing underaged girls in Singapore have NOT be widelypublicised in our local news media, or on Singapore Police Force’s own media channels. (Such asCrimeWatch, Internet media, Press release, etc.)
