KUALA LUMPUR – Five vehicles on Kalan LP 1A/2 Lestari Perdana, Serdang were found damaged after a landslide occurred in the area earlier this evening.
Assistant enforcement officer from the Serdang Fire and Rescue Department Saharudin Abdul Razak said his department received a report concerning the incident at around 6.38pm. Fortunately, there were no victims following the incident.
Adding further, he said the five vehicles were parked in front of a car workshop, which was approximately 7m away from where the incident occurred.
“Heavy rain at the time caused the drains to collapse, which caused the earth to settle, and the five cars fell 5m to 6m deep.
“The Fire and Rescue Department has closed the area to the public and have forwarded the matter to the Subang Jaya Municipal Council for further action,” Saharudin said when contacted by Bernama.
Saharudin added that a similar catastrophe occurred in 2017 about 50m from where this incident took place.
The landslide was caught on video and went viral on social media. – Bernama, January 25, 2022
